Pollen is launching its assault on our allergies, and for some of us, that means itching skin, too. Sensitive skin types can suffer even more.
More than skin being a sign of internal conditions like inflammation or dysfunction in systems like the digestion - consider this - there are studies that now show it can work the other way around - chronic inflammation in the skin can contribute to internal conditions as well. Even more motivation to manage symptoms in the skin like redness, itching, dryness, irritation, visible capillaries and general discomfort.
This is where OMAD comes in! The products from OMAD are not only a clinic favorite during our therapeutic sessions, but by far one of our best-selling products for managing skin inflammation at home, including post-medical procedures, post-exposure to the elements, and for reducing heat and discomfort in general.
A note from Ze, the founder of OMAD:
OMAD formulated our masks with tried-and-true TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) formulas to help reduce skin inflammation and irritation. The Biocellulose mask is by far the only sheet mask in the US using fermented rice water and probiotics as its base.
The remarkable benefits of rice extract:
Japanese, Korean, and Chinese women apply rice-infused water topically onto both their skin. When applied to the skin, the benefits are vast. Potent antioxidants such as phytic and ferulic acids protect the skin from premature aging by neutralizing free radicals and inhibiting the activity of the enzyme that damages elastin (essentially what gives your skin the mochi-like bouncy). Studies have also shown that starch in rice can improve and soothe impaired skin barriers such as atopic dermatitis, acne, and rosacea while keeping your skin layers hydrated.
We also work with a lab in Germany to ferment the rice with a probiotic called Lactobacillus ferment: a lab-created, non-living probiotic ingredient made by fermentation of the microorganism Lactobacillus. Applied to skin, it’s been shown to have a potent soothing effect that in turn strengthens skin’s ability to defend itself from aggressors. Research has also revealed that this ferment may play a role in helping skin’s microbiome to maintain a healthy mix of flora, a benefit that may reduce the risk or visible severity of several common, often uncomfortable skin conditions.
It works great if you put the sheet mask in the fridge and chill it, and when your skin gets irritated by allergies, simply put a chilled mask on your face and let it set for 20 minutes to reduce any discomfort, redness, and irritation. Enjoy!
With gratitude,
Ze

You can't do better than either of these products for helping soothe your skin. I also find my skin looks bright, and even, with fine lines minimized. Choose the sheet mask if you like them, and choose the miracle balm if you prefer to massage your face with the balm - this rich cream will reduce all the symptoms of inflammation as well.
