Two of their most popular product launches have been Exosomes and PDRN. Both continue to be proven game-changes for the skin, creating the healthiest biomes, clarity, and hydration. WHAT IS PDRN?
PDRN (Sodium DNA) is a DNA-derived ingredient valued for helping improve the appearance of skin elasticity, firmness, and overall skin vitality. Due to its large molecular structure, incorporating PDRN into topical skincare requires thoughtful formulation. In our Rejuvenative PDRN-NE Ampoule, we use high-purity PDRN sourced from salmon-derived DNA and formulate it with our Nano-Emulsion (NE) technology to help ensure even dispersion and optimal cosmetic performance on the skin. This advanced formulation helps refine the appearance of skin texture, leaving the complexion looking smoother, firmer, and healthier-looking.
OUR PDRN ORIGIN
Our PDRN is sourced from highly purified salmon sperm DNA, chosen for its exceptional purity, structural similarity to human DNA, and ability to remain intact for optimal performance.
While many formulas rely on hydrolyzed or plant-derived DNA fragments—which mainly act as humectants—our use of intact, long-chain PDRN preserves the molecule’s natural integrity and enables superior performance when paired with our nano-emulsion delivery system.
WHAT ARE EXOSOMES?
Exosomes are naturally occurring, microscopic, membrane-bound vesicles recognized for their role in communication between cells. These vesicles carry complex bioactive materials—such as lipids, proteins, and RNA—that can contribute to visibly revitalizing and enhancing the skin's appearance.
Research in South Korea has explored the potential of plant-derived exosomes in promoting a luminous, radiant look and reducing the appearance of fine lines and other visible signs of aging, while enhancing the overall look of the skin.
OUR ADVANCED PROCESS
In collaboration with a top South Korean biotech company specializing in plant-derived bioactive molecules, including exosomes, we employ a low-temperature, vacuum-pressure squeeze extraction process. This advanced method ensures high concentration, purity, and stability of exosomes, preserving their efficacy even at temperatures up to 80°C (176°F).
PDRN VS. EXOSOME: WHEN TO USE EACH
Both ampoules are designed to help improve the appearance of skin quality, while addressing different skin concerns through distinct formulation approaches.
Rejuvenative PDRN-NE Ampoule is formulated to help enhance the appearance of skin comfort, resilience, and smoothness. It helps visibly refine skin texture and support a well-conditioned, moisturized look, with noticeable improvements in the appearance of elasticity and suppleness. Its richer emulsion texture makes it especially well-suited for dry, mature, depleted, or fatigued-looking skin in need of enhanced comfort and firmness-looking results.
Regenerative 10B-EXO EGF Ampoule is formulated to help improve the appearance of skin texture, elasticity, and tone while promoting a calm, balanced-looking complexion. Its lightweight, fast-absorbing texture makes it an excellent option for combination, stressed, sensitive-looking, or post-procedure skin, helping skin appear smoother, clearer, and more refined.
IN PRACTICE AT THE ROAD
At The Road, I apply these ampoules at the end of certain services, but specifically after micro or nano-needling. The ampoules for this use are unqiue in that they are steralized for use as we've just created channels in the skin for better penetration. Most choose to go home with one or the other post microneedling, which is a best case scenario. Personally, I love nanoneedling and find this is enough to create the results I need ongoing, while microneedling is completed with a cycle of four, once a month, and done.
Some are choosing to do the monthly application, then alternate to the other for a month. Some will also do one in the morning, the other in the evening, for a cycle of one month. It is also acceptable to do one month, then wait a few months to repeat based on results. These were the scenarios presented to me by their global educator for cadence and use.
